Pakistan, India free trade unlikely sans settlement of Kashmir Issue
'Pakistan Times' Business & Commerce Desk

KARACHI: Free trade between Pakistan and India is not possible until the resolution of all issues including Kashmir.

Chaudghry Mohammed Saeed, former President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, said that settlement of Kashmir issue would entail India many advantages.

He said that traders and industrialists on both the sides lack confidence owing to repeated obstructions in the way of dissolution of political crises.

Mohammed Saeed said that in the wake of settlement of all issues, the trade volume between the two countries can bulge to $50 billion, as the total population of Pakistan and India is 1.5 billion, while India can get the opportunities of land trade to Afghanistan and Middle Eastern countries.●
