All set to observe Kashmir
Solidarity Day in AJK, NAs Tomorrow

MIRPUR (AJK):
In Azad Jammu & Kashmir, all is set to observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day on
February 5 to express complete solidarity with the people of Kashmir
struggling to liberate their motherland from the Indian yoke.
Human chains jointly by the people of Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir on all
major bridges linking Azad Jammu Kashmir with Pakistan including Garhi Habib
Ullah, Kohala, Dhalkot, Azad Pattan and Mangla will be the hallmark of the
day.
Besides this, special ceremonies including relies, processions, seminars,
symposiums in all the eight districts of AJK will be held to reiterate
complete solidarity with the freedom loving people of occupied Jammu &
Kashmir in their just and principled struggle for freedom of the motherland
from the Indian subjugation.
In Mirpur special ceremonies including the human chain programme at Mangla
Bridge over Jhelum River will be the main event of the day to be jointly
held by the National Events Organizing Committee Mirpur district held with
the coordination of all social, political, religious and all other public
representative organizations.
Leaders of various social, political and public representative organizations
will gather at District Courts premises at 9.00 a.m on February-5 for onward
moving to Mangla Bridge to make human chain with the people from Pakistan to
mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day and as a mark of complete solidarity by the
people of Pakistan with the Kashmiris in their just struggle for freedom.
The National Events Organizing Committee in its meeting chaired by its Vice
Chairman Muhammad Tayyab here Saturday gave final touches to various
programmers in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day.
People from all walks of life from other parts of AJK will also visit
Refugee Camps (IHK refugees) and Relief Camps.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed on Feb 5 every year by the people of
Pakistan and Kashmiris living this side of the Line of Control (AJK) to
express complete solidarity with the people of Kashmir besides to invite the
attention of the international community towards the continued massive human
rights abuses by the Indian occupation forces and the continued denial by
India from the peaceful solution of Kashmir problem depriving Kashmiris
their legitimate right of self determination, recognized by the
international community through the United Nations resolutions on Kashmir.
Solidarity Day in NAs
Meanwhile, a report from Gilgit says that the Northern Areas administration
has made all arrangements to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day in a befitting
manner to express solidarity with Kashmiris for their just struggle against
unjustified occupation of India.
Speaking to 'Pakistan Times' [Daily Web Newspaper] by phone on Saturday, the
Information Advisor Northern Areas Cap (Retd) Sikandar Ali said that an
elaborated programme has been chalked out to mark the day in a befitting
manner.
He said the day would be observed with renewed pledges to extend moral and
diplomatic support to our brethren living across the line of control in
their just struggle of self-determination.
He said rallies would be taken out in different parts of the region with
active participation of the academic institutions as well as government and
non-governmental organizations.
He said special functions would also be organized to highlight the Indian
atrocities and subjugation.●
