Women Judo C’ships in Pakistan

LAHORE: The Pakistan Women
Judo Association in collaboration with the Pakistan Judo Federation is
organizing the 2nd Invitational National Women Judo Championships in Lahore
from February 2.
Teams from all nine affiliated units of the Pakistan Judo Federation will be
taking part in these Championships. As per the rules of the tournament, each
unit can send a maximum of three players in a weight group.
A total of eight weight groups have been allowed which are as follows: below
40 KG, below 44 KG, below 48 KG, below 52 KG, below 57 KG, below 63 KG,
below 70 KG and Open Weight.
The bouts will be held as per the rules of the International Judo
Federation.
The Championships will be held in the auditorium of the Govt APWA College
for Women, Jail Road, Lahore that will continue till February 4.
A clinic for Referees and Judges will be held on this occasion where the new
rules of the International Judo Federation will be discussed.●
