Swedish envoy meets JI Pakistan Chief Qazi

LAHORE: Swedish Ambassador in Islamabad Ann Wilkens called on the MMA president and Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad here on Thursday.

Director Foreign Affairs Abdul Ghaffar Aziz was also present during the meeting.

Matters relating to bilateral interests came under discussion. Expressing his view Qazi Hussain Ahmad said the region is passing through grave times.

He appealed the people who cherish democracy to honour the sentiments of people of South East Asia and Middle East and help solve outstanding issues in respective areas.

The MMA leader expressed goodwishes for the Swedish people and shared his desire to see the relation between the countries flourish.●
