Six Troops injured by blasts in
India held-Kashmir

SRINAGAR (IHK): Stepping up
attacks ahead of the Republic Day, attackers today triggered three blasts in
Awantipora and Bandipora area of Indian Occupied Kashmir injuring six
paramilitary personnel.
Five Central Reserve Police Force personnel were injured when they set off
an improvised explosive device (IED) targetting a vehicle of the CRPF at
Panzana near Awantipora in Pulwama district, said a media report quoting
officials.
Earlier, a Security Force personnel was injured when an attacker hurled a
grenade on a picket at Bandipora township of Baramulla district around 1.30
pm, officials said.
They said window panes of a security vehicle were also smashed under the
impact of the blast. Minutes after the incident, the attackers struck again
with a grenade in the north Kashmir town targetting an army patrol,
officials said.
However, no one was injured in the blast as the device missed the intended
target, they added.
The latest attacks come close on the heels of a grenade attack on an army
convoy at Pattan on Srinagar-Baramulla national highway yesterday, which
left 13 people injured.●
