Missing UN copter lands safely in NW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The helicopter, which went missing immediately after take off from the Chaklala Airbase, landed safely at Garhi Habibullah and all the passengers on board were found fine.

Official sources said that the helicopter belonging to the United Nations was heading to the Northern Areas for relief works.

Earlier, it was reported that the helicopter taking off from the Chaklala Airbase for the Northern Areas had disappeared from the radar and planes have been sent for its search.

However, the latest report confirmed the safe landing of the helicopter at Garhi Habibullah with all the passengers on board hale and hearty.●
