Pakistan Football Federation Okays 37
players for National Camp

football training camp for the build up of team to take part in Qualifying
Phase of 29th Olympic Games Football Tournament will commence from January
10 at Naval Sports Complex Ground, Karsaz, Karachi.
Pakistan will take on Singapore in the coming two-legged eliminator.
Singapore will host the first leg on February 7 while return leg will be
arranged by Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) on February 14. The winner of
the match will appear in Second Round (Group A) alongwith Bahrain, Kuwait
and Qatar.
President, Pakistan Football Federation,Faisal Saleh Hayat has approved the
names of 37 players.
He said the camp will be attended by 37 players with Army providing eight
players. Four players of Wapda, Wohaib FC, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL),
Balochistan and Habib Bank Limited (HBL), three from NBP, two from
Islamabad, NWFP and one from KESC and Karachi will be in camp.
“Most of the players will be those who were the part of the team which won
the gold in 10th South Asian Games at Colombo last year, and they would also
appear in next years’s 11th South Asian Games at Dhaka,” he said.
As a general rule, only players who were born on or after 1 January 1985 are
eligible to take part in the preliminary competition and final competition.
However, a maximum of three players who do not meet this age limit may also
be included in the official List of Players for the final competition.
The 37 players to attend Camp are : Army (8) : Jaffar Ali, Muhammad Imran,
Mubashar Hussain, Faheem Riaz, Mehmood Ahmed, Tariq Mehmood, Mustafa,
Muzaffar Wapda (4) : Muhammad Shahid, Akram Masih, Zahid Hameed, Imran Niazi
KRL (4) : Samar Ishaq, Muhammad Waseem, Abid Khan, Muhammad Rasool Wohaib FC
(4) : Muhammad Ahmed, Ali Ahsan, Waqar Ali, Muhammad Saleem Balochistan (4)
