PM assures share from hydel for
all provinces of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister
Shaukat Aziz Sunday assured that the federal government will give the share
from net hydel profit to all the provinces, including NWFP in accordance
with the law.
He was talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League NWFP led by
President PML NWFP and Minister for Political Affairs Eng. Amir Muqam.
The Prime Minister said the federal government took the initiative to
resolve the issue of share from the hydel profit to the NWFP through
arbitration and added that when the process will be completed, the province
would be ensured its legal share.
He said the PML and its coalition partners would contest the next general
elections at one platform and hoped for victory on the basis of their track
record.
Briefing the newsmen after the meeting, the Minister for Information and
Broadcasting Senator Muhammad Ali Durrani said that democratic values were
strengthening in the country.
The Prime Minister, while talking to the delegation, congratulated the PML
NWFP for organizing a successful public meeting, which was addressed by the
President General Pervez Musharraf yesterday.
Shaukat Aziz said the PML and its allied parties are expressing solidarity,
unity and coordination at all levels which will continue in future.
The meeting also discussed the development projects being done with the
financial allocation from the federal government to ensure the provision of
electricity, gas, water and roads for prosperity and welfare of the people.
The Prime Minister said the government would ensure that the results of the
economic growth and progress should reach the common man for improving the
living standard.●
