Musharraf greets Cuba on its Revolution Day

ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf has extended greetings to Cuba on its revolution day being celebrated today (January 1).

President in his message to the President of Cuba Fidel Castro Ruz, said,”On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan and my own behalf, it gives me immense pleasure to congratulate your excellency and the government and people of Cuba on the occasion of revolution day of the republic of Cuba.”

The President said, “Pakistan and Cuba enjoy cordial and friendly relations, I am confident that our bilateral ties would be further strengthened in the years ahead to the benefit of our two countries.”

President Musharraf in his message said, “I avail myself of this opportunity to convey to your excellency our best wishes for your speedy recovery and the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the republic of Cuba.”

Greets Palestine

President General Pervez Musharraf has greeted Palestine on 42nd anniversary of its revolution being celebrated on January 1 (Today).

President Musharraf in his message to President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas said, “It gives me a great pleasure to convey you heartiest felicitations and cordial greeting to your excellency and brotherly people of Palestine on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Palestinian revolution.”

The President hoped that the bonds of friendship and brotherhood, which exist between the peoples shall, Inshallah, grow further and gather strength in the years ahead.

President Musharraf said, “I am quite confident that under your able leadership the people of Palestine would succeed in achieving independent Palestinian state with al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.”
