Miranshah to get power
supply restored today: Wapda
The headquarter of North
Waziristan here and its adjoining areas would get their power supply
restored today after a lapse of 35 days, Wapda officials said.
Miranshah Grid Station In-charge, Gul Rahman told the 20-26 MVA big
transformer had outlived its life, which has been replaced by 10-13 MVA
small transformer. The electric supply here and to the outskirts would be
restored today, he said. However, he made it clear that the supply to all
the areas at a stretch could not be restored due to the transformer being of
smaller size.
As regards big transformer, he told that the same would soon be provided in
accordance with the directive of the NWFP Governor.●
