Pakistan restricts movement of Indian Diplomats

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan restricted the movement of Indian diplomats in the country on Saturday; as India declined to lift constraints on Pakistani diplomats to move out of New Delhi.

According to foreign office sources here, Indian government imposed the restriction on Pakistani diplomats in October this year that they cannot move out of New Delhi especially to the suburban areas.

Owing to this, Pakistani diplomats are facing hardships; as the New Delhi airport is situated in the suburban area of the Indian capital.

According to foreign office sources, Pakistan was holding negotiations with Indian side to lift the restriction since October, but to no avail. Consequently, Pakistan also had to take up the decision to impose a ban on the movement of Indian diplomats.●
