Pakistan to host Women's World
Cup qualifiers in 2007

LAHORE: Pakistan has been
awarded the rights to host the Women's World Cup qualifiers in the next
year. International Cricket Council (ICC) has granted the permission to hold
the event.
A total number of eight teams would be contesting the qualifiers namely
Pakistan, South Africa, Bermuda, Papua New Guinea, Ireland, Netherlands,
Scotland and Zimbabwe.
The top two teams would qualify for the Women's World Cup to be played in
India in 2009.
According to PCB media release, the exact timeliness of the qualifiers will
be defined in due course. ●
