Coalmines Agreement signed between Balochistan Tribes

CHAMALANG: An agreement has been signed Wednesday over restarting of coalmining after 30 years by Loni and Murri tribes in Chamalang area of District Loralai.

These 60-kilometre-long coal mines in Chamalang are considered the world's largest, which produces Rs300billion coal while four million coal miners work in them.

An earlier report had said that an agreement is being signed on Wednesday over restarting of coalmining after 30 years by Loni and Murri tribes in Chamalang area of District Loralai.

According to official sources, Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani and Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousuf along with other officials will take part in the signing ceremony, including tribesmen of Loni's 25 sub-sections and Murri's 26 sub-sections.
