Six more convicted for 1993 Mumbai Bombings

MUMBAI: An Indian judge finished delivering the verdicts on 123 defendants Monday in the 1993 Mumbai bombings, India's worst terror attack.

Judge Pramod Kode found the final six men guilty of involvement in the March 12, 1993, bombings that killed 257 people.

Monday's convictions take the number of defendants convicted to 100 with 23others acquitted.

The trial, described as India's longest, began on June 6, 1995.Kode began delivering the judgment in September and sentences are likely to be announced in February next year.●
