QUETTA: Balochistan National Party (BNP) on Sunday announced to resign from Senate, National, Provincial and District assemblies in a protest against the killing of tribal chief Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, and his subsequent burial against his family's wishes.

Rauf Mengal, leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), announced this here Sunday while addressing a public gathering held against the killing of Akbar Bugti.

He slammed the provincial assembly, alleging its involvement in the killing of Baloch leader and said that the Baloch people can never forget this injustice.

Moreover, he criticized that the assemblies’ decisions in the country were never followed, saying that being elected in these assemblies, it is our responsibility to raise the problems of a common man on the assemblies’ floors.

The resolutions regarding the solution of Balochistan’s problems through political dialogue and for handing of corpses of Bugti’s followers to their relatives were also passed in the public gathering.
