Pakistan Steel Mill to be privatized under new Plan

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Privatization Zahid Hamid said on Thursday that Pakistan Steel Mill (PSM) will be privatized under revised plan in light of the directives of the Supreme Court; however, the estimation for privatization of PSM is yet to be finalized.

"We are waiting the detailed order of the Supreme Court regarding the privatization of Pakistan Steel Mill (PSM) and we would also implement it ", he told a news conference here at the Privatization Commission.

He reiterated that after the detailed order of the apex court if anyone was found involved in any malpractice, the privatization commission would definitely take action.

Privatization programme is the cornerstone of the government's economic policies and it would continue for the country's prosperity, he said.●
