Five Killed by clashes in India held-Kashmir

SRINAGAR (IHK): At least three Indian troops with two others were killed in separate gunbattles in India’s part of Kashmir on Tuesday, police said.

The two civilians were killed after soldiers and police acting on a tip cordoned off the village of Chatipora in southwestern Kashmir, sparking a gunbattle, said police officer Nitish Kumar.

A policeman was also killed in the fight.

Two paramilitary troopers were killed when suspected gunmen opened fire on them in Srinagar, the main city of India held-Kashmir, police said.●
