Pakistan 119 all-out against
England on first day of Second Test

MANCHESTER (UK): Pakistan,
after winning the toss, were bowled out for 119 on the first day of the
second Test against England at Old Trafford here Thursday.
Umar Gul was one not out. This was the second match of a four-Test series.
Steve Harmison took his second-best Test figures of 6-19 as Pakistan
collapsed from 90-2 to be bowled out for 119.
Durham ace Harmison had Pakistan's batsmen backing away to leg in fear on a
pacy wicket with some uneven bounce.
At the other end, spinner Monty Panesar also excelled with 3-21 while Kevin
Pietersen shone in the field.
Pakistan's only runs of note came in a stand worth 81 between Younis Khan
(44) and Mohammad Yousuf (38).
Pakistan, after winning the toss, were 93 for four at lunch on the first day
of the second Test at Old Trafford here Thursday.
Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was not out and Faisal Iqbal three not out.
This was the second match of a four-Test series.
Steve Harmison took three wickets in two spells of bowling and spinner Monty
Panesar got the fourth wicket of Mohammad Yousuf for 38.
Yousuf put on 81 for the third wicket with Younis Khan (44) after Pakistan
had struggled early on.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat.
On a bright and humid day, Pakistan open the batting with Kamran Akmal and
Imran Farhat. Akmal replaced the dropped Salman Butt while Pakistan also
brought back batsman Younis Khan into the middle order.
England lost seamer Liam Plunkett through a side injury on Tuesday and chose
Sajid Mahmood ahead of Jon Lewis to take his place. England is also without
influential allrounder Andrew Flintoff.
The first test at Lord's was drawn.
