Six security officials killed by Bus Bomb Blast in NW Pakistan

PESHAWAR: Six security officials were killed and three others injured in Bus bomb blast at Taimragrah in district Dir of NWFP province on Monday.

“Six security officials died on spot and the vehicle was destroyed when suddenly a bomb went off with big bang in a bus, which was carrying Dir scouts to Chitral,” said DPO Dir Khurshid Khan.

Three security officials were injured, who were taken to Taimragrah hospital, he said.

Khurshid Khan said that the blast occurred due to remote control bomb. He termed the blast as terrorism incident and said the investigation into the incident has been initiated.

The deceased included Muhammad Afzal, Fiaz, Khalid, Tariq, Amir Akbar and Omar Rehman.

The incident occurred while the Dir scouts were in the way to Chitral in a bus to undertake the security arrangements at the venue of annual Polo tournament.●
