LPG prices up by Rs 2/kg in Lahore

LAHORE: Prices of liquid
petroleum gas (LPG) have been increased by Rs 2 per kilogram, according to
sources.
According to sources trading in LPG, Oil and Gas Coorporation has increased
the LPG prices by Rs 2.20/kilogram.
At present, LPG is being sold in the local market at retail rate of Rs
48.50/kilogram, while due to current rise in LPG price, it’s prices can go
up to Rs 55/kilogram in the retail market.
LPG distributors Association chairman Irfan Khokhar has told LPG would be
sold at the current (old) market rates.
Talking to Geo News here today, he said: “The association would soon summon
a meeting regarding the matter of LPG price rise in which a request would be
made to Premier Shaukat Aziz to stablise the LPG prices in the market.”
On the otherhand, LPG consumers have expressed their concern over LPG price
rise.
All Punjab Taxi, Rikshaw driver association chairman, Asghar Khan, demanded
the government to immediately notice the unchecked rise in the LPG price.●
