Student kidnapped by Palestinians Released

JERUSALEM: A student kidnapped early Sunday by an armed Palestinian group has been released, an Israeli military source said.

"The student of American nationality, Benjamin Bright-Fishbein, was handed over to us by elements of the Palestinian Authority at the Hawarra checkpoint in the Nablus sector (north of the West Bank)", the source told a news agency.

Palestinian security sources said no harm had been done to the student.

An armed Palestinian group early Sunday said it had kidnapped an Israeli and in exchange for his release demanded the freeing of all Palestinians held by Israel.●
