Daniel Pearl case hearing adjourned till August-8

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday put off the hearing of Daniel Pearl case till August 8, while the new advocates submitted their ‘Vakalatnama’ from the accused Umar Sheikh.

Accused Umar Sheikh’s new advocates Khawaja Sultan, Mohsin Imam and Sher Afgan submitted their letter of authority to act as defence counsels before the two-member SHC Bench comprising of Justice Rahmat Hussain Jaffery and Justice Zia Pervaiz.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case until August 8, as the defence lawyer of one of the accused Adil Sheikh of this very case was away from the country.●
