SAI for high level inquiry into Karachi chemical dumping Case

KARACHI: SITE Association of Industry has called for high level inquiry into chemical waste dumping case.

"This enquiry should be directly supervised by Sindh Minister for Industries, M. Adil Siddiqui," SAI statement said here Monday on said.

A general body meeting of SAI alleged that an industrialist of SITE had been harassed and intimidated by government officials engaged in investigation of the incident.

For maintaining the integrity of industrialists in future, phe concerned authorities must approach and take into confidence phe Chairman of SITE Association of Industry for solution of such kind of issues/complaints.

The GB was summoned to discuss situation arising out of arrest of their fellow industrialist and sealing of the industrial unit without final proof in the case of toxic material dumped at a vacant plot in SITE area in which one child died and three others injured.●
