Altaf seeks all parties help to resolve civic problems in Pakistan

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s [MQM] Chief Altaf Hussain has called upon all the political as well as religious parties to set aside differences and come together to work collectively for the genuine cause of solving the problems of the people at the grass roots level.

He was addressing a large gathering of his party’s general workers via telephone from London, here at Jinnah Ground on Saturday.

Sweeping Victory

He attributed the sweeping victory of MQM backed Haq Parast candidates in Sindh to the active role played by the party workers. He congratulated the party workers.

Altaf Hussain appreciated his party workers’ adherence to peace and calm during the first phase of LG polls despite provocations by the opponents.

He advised them to maintain this practice in future as well and it will guarantee success in the next phase as well.

Referring to the holding of peaceful polls during the first phase of local government elections in Sindh, the MQM Chief highly appreciated the elaborate arrangements made by the Sindh Government in this regard.●
