Jennifer Lopez: Gets $4 Million Birthday Gift

SUPERSTAR Jennifer Lopez bought herself a $4 million ring for her own birthday last week.

The stunning gem will nestle in J.Lo's extravagant jewellery box, alongside the $2 million dollar band her husband Marc Anthony bought her to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in June.

An insider tells In Touch Weekly, "It's the most beautiful in the world."

"It's a very serious rock. Very few women in the world have diamond ring of such magnitude."

Blames Media for Over-exposure

Jennifer believes her over-exposure in the media has prevented her from having a more diverse movie career.

The 36-year-old Latina beauty found it easier to convince directors of her suitability for a role when she was an unknown - leading to parts in films including OUT OF SIGHT and OLIVER STONE's U-TURN.

However, in recent years stories of her diva-like demands and romances have made it harder for film-makers to distinguish between fact and fiction.

Lopez says, "In the beginning, I was a blank slate. I got to work with all these great directors because I was just a girl who came in there and did well in the audition.

"Then when I became famous, I was being offered movies that I could star in but that's all I was being offered.

"When I think I should be seeing the big directors, they don't even consider me.

"They see me as a sexy singer and too much in the media."

Congratulates Affleck On Pregnancy

Jennifer Lopez has finally congratulated her ex-fiance Ben Affleck and his new wife Jennifer Garner over news they're expecting a baby - weeks after complaining the subject "depressed" her.

Affleck and Garner got married late last month in the Caribbean, shortly before confirming they are expecting their first child together. Lopez - who left Affleck last January four months before marrying Marc Anthony - initially, complained the news upset her because she's desperate to become a mother.

But she has finally come to terms with the pregnancy, and offers the newlyweds her best wishes. She says, "You know, I'm a married woman now and I just don't think it's right to keep commenting on past relationships.

"And, you know, I hope they're happy. You know, it's a beautiful thing. There are no hard feelings. Congratulations to them both."

Considers Quitting Career

The Latina beauty Jennifer Lopez is considering quitting her music and movie career to become a full-time mother.

The Jenny From The Block star believes you can't be a successful mother and wife and have a job - so she's prepared to give up work to devote herself to her family.

She explains: "Either you are going to be a bad mom and be a really good career woman and wife, or a good mom and career woman and bad wife, or a good mom and a good wife and your career is going to suck."●
