Zara Sheikh: Joins Indo-Pakistan
Venture
KABHI Pyar Na Karna
[Never Fall In Love] a joi nt
production between India and Pakistan was shot in Mumbai last month.
It is the first time that a Pakistan film production company Kawaja
Tariq-Ul-Fazal Tahir has joined hands to make a film with Indian film
producers Sheet Srivastava (Overall Entertainment) with Pakistani actors
Moammar Rana Zara Sheikh and India actress Neha Dhupia.
With the crossover happening from Pakistan to India in a big way, has Neha
Dhupia set a precedent for Indian actress to go to Pakistan?
But what will really create sensation is her item number in a Pakistani
film. She is a little surprised to hear it being referred to as an item
number.
It's a song and dance number and is a very integral part of the film. You
could say that I am doing a guest appearance in the film with the song. I
share screen time with the hero, Muammar Rana, in it, she reveals.
It's a Rajasthani song sung by Sunidhi Chauhan. I have a Rajasthani look in
it and there are lots of other dancers. It is a fast number and does involve
heavy movements but I still don't regard it as an item number in that sense.
Zara in 'Laaj'
Zara Sheikh has already appeared in then Rauf Khalid's Laaj, a super hit
all-over Pakistan.
The film is based on
Kashmir with romantic story added in it, the film is a heavy budget good
directed movie with excellent performance of Talat Hussain.
The film did a very good business just at the first day on the cinema.
What's more about Rauf is that Rauf is a friendly person, I may get very
personal here, Zara says by adding; 'But we often used to disturb Rauf by
calling him and he always talked till the time we ourselves dropped the
phone and never misbehaved like other stars may do.●
