SRINAGAR (IHK): The Indian
government is making noises on dialogue process to mislead the international
community about the situation prevailing in held-Kashmir.
Leader of a faction of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Syed Ali Shah
Geelani said on Saturday after the meeting of the advisory council of the
APHC in held Srinagar.
Geelani said, "The rulers of India are never serious about resolution of
Kashmir issue. The offer of dialogue is only to mislead the outside world
about the situation in the Indian Held Kashmir."
"While the government of India wants to give the impression that situation
in the held Kashmir was improving, it has given a free hand to army and
other forces to silence the voice of Kashmiri people," the statement said.
Notwithstanding India and Pakistan, engaged in a reconciliation and dialogue
process for the past one-and-a-half year, Geelani regretted that the ‘human
rights violations like custodial killing and rape were continuing in the
held Valley."●
