65 Indian Peace Activists arrive Pakistan

LAHORE: A 65-member delegation of Indian peace activists led by Secretary General of Indian chapter of People’s Forum for Peace and Democracy, Tapan K. Bose crossed into Pakistan at Wagha border to attend the two-day decennial function of the forum being held here from today, Saturday.

A spokesman of Pakistani chapter of the forum here Friday said that prominent members of the delegation included Admiral (Retd) Ram Das and Lalita Ram Das.

Pigeons Freed on Arrival


The delegation was received by founding members of Pakistan chapter of PFPD, Dr. Mubashar Hassan, General Secretary, Ms Anis Haroon, Executive Director, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), I.A.Rehman and hundreds of peace activists from all the four provinces.

Pigeons were freed and balloons were let in the air to welcome the guests on the occasion.●
