Tennis Ace Maria's Mystery Man Named

LONDON (UK): The mystery man who inspired Wimbledon ladies champion Maria Sharapova to victory is a balding, middle-aged married multi-millionaire, according to reports.

The 17-year-old sensation sparked speculation there was a love in her life when she dedicated her win to someone she would only name as her "inspiration".

However, some stories claim the inspiration is actually 44-year-old Mark Fisher, a happily married tycoon who helped bankroll her rise to stardom.

He is said to have become her mentor after he spotted her tennis talents at the academy attended by his own two children, and decided to give her financial backing.

But the another newspaper claims the Russian beauty's mystery man could be her hunky fitness trainer Mark Wellington.

Essex-born Mark, 28, was picked by Maria to come on the tennis tour with her after they met at the academy, the paper claims.

His mother Mary told the paper: "I'm convinced she was talking about Mark. He has been beside her every step of the way."●
