Kashmir Liberation activists go
on Hunger Strike, Renew Resolve

NEW DELHI (India): The
illegally detained Kashmiri liberation activists have gone on hunger strike
in Tihar jail in New Delhi as a protest against forcing them to recite the
Hindu prayer of OM.
Doctors attending to Hurriyat leader Muhammad Ashraf Laya, shifted from jail
to SKIMS college hospital on July 2 for treatment, have advised jail
authorities to extend his stay at hospital. Doctors said Laya could lose his
eyesight if wasn't shifted to AIIMS, New Delhi for treatment.
Chained leaders renew resolve
Meanwhile in occupied Kashmir, furious demonstrations were held in the
premises of a court in Srinagar today when two senior APHC leaders were
brought for hearing.
The handcuffed leaders Mussarrat Aalam Butt and Firdous Ahmad Shah were
greeted by hundreds of APHC leaders and activists with high-pitched
anti-India and pro-liberation slogans.
The two leaders, while addressing huge gathering raised their chained hands
and triumphantly declared that the day was not far off when Kashmiris were
to get liberated from Indian bondage. They appealed to world human rights
organisations to send their teams to occupied Kashmir to see for themselves
the law of jungle prevailing in the territory.
APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani accompanied by Hurriyat leader, Agha Syed
Hassan Al Musavi visited Watergam area in Pattan today and urged the people
to remain united in their struggle to secure right to self-determination.●
