Hunger Striking HR activists arrested in Held-Kashmir
Kashmir Media Service

SRINAGAR (Indian Held-Kashmir): Police arrested this afternoon activists along with Chairman of Hurriyat Conference Human Rights Bureau (HRB) Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar who were on a hunger strike here against growing human rights violations by Indian army in occupied Kashmir.

The HRB hunger strikers were lodged in Kothi Bagh police station in Srinagar.

The Chairman HRB Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar had earlier announced to also take out a peaceful rally on July 8 and handover a memorandum to UN Observers.

Gulzar, in a statement said that human rights violations by Indian army in the occupied state, particularly Kashmir Valley had increased manifold during the recent past.

Ridiculing the ruling regime's claims of providing healing touch to the wounds of people, he said during the present puppet government's rule more human rights violations had taken place and more youth were killed or put under custody than at any time in the past.●
