Pakistan Times Kashmir Desk

SRINAGAR (Indian Held Kashmir): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian troops martyred in custody a prominent All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Muhammad Ismail Dar.

The martyred leader was the President of Jammu region of Democratic Political Movement, a constituent of APHC.

He was arrested by troops yesterday evening from Seil locality of Doda and his dead body was recovered today from a village near the town.

The brutal killing sparked large-scale anti-India demonstrations in Doda, which were led by APHC leader Saadullah Tantray. A statement issued by Hurriyat headquarters in Srinagar denounced the heinous crime, describing it as the worst example of political vendetta.

Elsewhere, the Indian troops, in their fresh acts of state terrorism, martyred eight more Kashmiris. A house at Batpora in Kulgam area was destroyed and two dead bodies were recovered from the debris. Two civilians, critically injured in military firing at Aarigam in Bandipora succumbed to their injuries. Two Kashmiri youth each were martyred in Rajouri and in Wangam area of Kokernag.

A dead body with slit throat was recovered from village Zangam in Pattan area. One person was killed in a landmine blast at Dhundak bridge in Poonch.●
