QUETTA: More than 35
rockets were fired on two check-posts and a homemade bomb
exploded near a church in southwest Pakistan on Friday,
wounding four people, officials said.
No one claimed responsibility for the attacks in arid
Baluchistan province bordering Afghanistan but authorities
hold militants or disgruntled elements responsible for such
episodes.
The rockets were fired in Kohlu, a small town 217 miles
southwest of the provincial capital Quetta. Four people were
wounded.
Frontier Corps officials in Quetta said the paramilitary
troops returned the fire.
Small Bomb
A small bomb exploded outside a church in Kohlu but caused no
injuries, a local official said.
Rockets were also fired at another post in Mand, which lies
435 miles south of Quetta.
