MULTAN: Indian skipper
Sourav Ganguly has no serious injury but final decision about
his availability for the first Test would be taken on Saturday
evening, said Indian team manager Ratnakar Shetty on Friday.
"It's good news that Ganguly
has come clean as per doctor's report. He has no serious
injury but needs two more sessions with the physiotherapist
after which it could be finally decided whether he is
completely fit for the first Test or not", Indian team manager
announced in a press briefing at Multan Cricket Stadium.
Celebrated leg spinner Anil
Kumble, who recently joined the team for Test series after
recovering from a shoulder injury and Media Manager Amrit
Mathur were also present.

problem in his lower back after diving to stop a drive by

The Indian skipper reached
Multan Friday morning, a day after the arrival of his team,
and would take two sessions with the physiotherapist, one on
Friday evening and second on Saturday morning before he is
declared fully fit for the First Test.
Earlier, Pakistan team
manager Haroon Rasheed praised Ganguly as a player, saying he
is helpful for his team in batting as well as bowling. Rasheed
said India will miss a key player in the first Test if it's
skipper's fitness problem persists.
Both teams will play the
inaugural match of the three-Test series from Sunday, March
28, at Multan Cricket Stadium.
