70 Kiosks Gutted in Peshawar's old cloth Market
By Momi Gul - Pakistan Times Staff Reporter

PESHAWAR: About 70 cabins in old cloth market on railway track near Bacha Khan chowk were gutted when fire erupted in the bazar on Thursday morning.

The cause of the blaze is not known, but it could be short circuiting of the electricity wires, said a police official.

The fire erupted in the cabin of Ziarat Gul and later engulfed other shops, he added. Fire brigade official later reached on the spot and doused the fire.

The initial estimate of loss caused by fire is reported to be in millions of Pakistani currancy.
