PESHAWAR: Jamiat-e-Ulama-e-Pakistan
(JUP), NWFP announced here Tuesday to rejoin the six-party
alliance and said that all those elements would be eliminated,
which created hurdles in their way.
'Assurance'
Central secretary general of JUP, Alama Shabir Ahmad Hashmi
expressed these views while briefing newsmen after the meeting
at provincial party secretariat.
He said that Qazi Hussain Ahmad and Maulana Fazal Rehman
assured that they their demands would be met, after which, it
was decided to rejoin the alliance.
Policies
Hashmi, while condemning the Wana operation said that it was
the part of president Bush’s election campaign. He also
declared the tour of Indian cricket team as a part of
Vajpayee’s election drive
He said that a strategy would be planned at All Pakistan Eid
Miland conference which will be held on March 28, adding that
all political parties have been invited to the conference.
Provincial president of JUP Owais Ahmad Qadri and MPA Akhtar
Nawaz were also present on the occasion.
