Massive anti-India Demonstrations in occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR (Indian Held-Kashmir): In occupied Kashmir, the police fired tear smoke shells and resorted to lathi charge to disperse hundreds of protesters at Noorpure in Tral area, who were demonstrating against the killing of a boy by troops at Payer Jagir village.

The protesters, who were shouting anti-India and pro-liberation slogans, said that Indian troops on Thursday killed a watchman Javid Ahmad Dar s/o Muhammad Sultan Dar in a house without any provocation.

The protesters were proceeding towards Awantipora when they were stopped by the police at Noorpora, Tral in Pulwama area. The police fired several tear smoke shells and resorted to lathi charge to disperse them. The protesters were demanding stern action against the RR personnel responsible for the killing of the 16-year-old boy.

A complete strike was observed in Khrew against the killing of two civilians during an encounter in Pulwama area. All the business establishments remained closed in the area in protest against the incident. People came out in large numbers and raised pro-freedom slogans.

In Srinagar, Fateh Kadal, people staged protest demonstrations against the arrest of Zahoor Mehraj Naqashbandi son of Mehrajuddin Naqashbandi. The detained youth is a released Mujahid and was doing business nowadays.
