Pakistan Times Punjab Bureau Report

LAHORE: British Council Pakistan will launch its newly designed website on Monday (March 8), providing information and interactive opportunities for the general public, especially students and young professionals in Pakistan.

The new website provides new online services, a fresh design and easier access to information on the British Council and the UK, said a media release.

The new website provides a range of services for users, including access to free electronic newsletters, a comprehensive scholarships database and up-to-date information on British Council activities in Pakistan.

For students interested in studying abroad, the site offers comprehensive access to information on education opportunities in the UK at all levels.

Professionals in the fields of English Language Teaching, Management, Media, Governance and Youth Development, can sign up for our free electronic information alerts providing the latest update on developments in that area in the UK and Pakistan. The website also provides online access to the latest UK newspapers and journals.

To launch the new website, the British Council is organising chat sessions with famous Pakistani personalities, including film/documentary maker and television producer Dr Farooq Beg of Serendip Productions, pop singer Haroon, formerly a member of the Awaz group and currently a popular solo artist, and Rizwan Beyg, one of the top fashion designers of Pakistan. Transcripts of the chat discussion will also be available on our website.
