The bodies of three more freedom fighters were recovered from the site of a firefight with soldiers Friday in southern Kashmir. Suspected militants meanwhile shot and injured a Muslim civilian in Machipora Handwara town in northern Kashmir.

The fighters also opened fire at a security forces patrol party in Ushkara village in northern Kashmir, leading to a gun battle. One student was injured in the crossfire.

Meanwhile, Indian troops blasted a house at Kawooni village, in Awantipora area of Pulwama district where four dead bodies were recovered from the debris.
