NEW DELHI (India):
Indian and Pakistani formation commanders held a flag meeting
near Chorbat La in Kargil sector to discuss some local issues,
army officials were quoted as saying on Saturday.
The company commanders held the flag meeting on Friday for
over 40 minutes in the 8 mountain Division sector, they added.
The flag meeting was mooted after the Director General of
Military operations of the two countries spoke over the
hotline, said a media report.
The Director General of Military operations of both the
countries agreed to hold more such flag meetings in all areas
along the Line of Control to remove any misunderstanding, said
the officials.
